TL;DR — The Short Version
- We do not collect, store or sell any personal data.
- Everything you type into our calculators stays on your device — it never touches our servers.
- Files you process with our PDF tools (merge, split, compress, watermark, etc.) are handled entirely inside your browser. They are never uploaded anywhere.
- We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google may use cookies for ad personalisation — you can opt out at any time.
- We store your dark/light theme preference in your browser's localStorage. That's it.
- If you email us, we use your address only to reply. Nothing else.
1. Who We Are
Wolf Office Tools (wolfofficetools.com) is a free, browser-based suite of calculators, productivity tools, and PDF utilities built for professionals. We are an independent website — not affiliated with any corporation or institution.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (very little), how we handle it, and your rights. We have written it in plain language because we believe you deserve to understand it without a law degree.

3. How Our Tools Work — Browser-Only Processing
Every tool on Wolf Office Tools is a client-side application. When you open a tool, the JavaScript code is downloaded to your browser once. From that point, all processing happens locally on your device using your device's own CPU and memory.
Calculators (GST, compound interest, inflation, break-even, currency converter, unit converter, time calculator, etc.): The values you type are used only within the JavaScript running in your browser tab. When you close the tab, those values are gone.
PDF Tools (merge, split, compress, PDF to images, images to PDF): Files are read into your browser's memory using the browser File API. They are processed by open-source JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js) running locally. The output file is generated in memory and downloaded directly to your device. At no point does any file data travel over the internet to our servers or any third-party server.
Currency Converter: This tool fetches live exchange rates from a public exchange rate API. No personal data is sent — only a standard API request for rate data is made.
4. Advertising — Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our pages. Ads help us keep all tools free. We have enabled Auto Ads, which means Google automatically determines where and how to display ads on each page.
Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to:

5. Email Contact
If you choose to contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to you.
We will never:
— Add you to a mailing list or newsletter without your explicit consent
— Share your email address with third parties
— Send unsolicited emails after your query is resolved
— Use your email for marketing purposes
Any files you attach for support purposes are deleted once the issue is resolved. Emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your query.

Our own cookies: We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves.
localStorage: We store one value in your browser's localStorage — your chosen display theme (theme: "light" or theme: "dark"). This data is stored only on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is used solely to remember your preference between visits. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Third-party cookies: Google AdSense sets third-party cookies as described in Section 4. These are the only third-party cookies present on this site.
7. Children's Privacy
Wolf Office Tools is designed for professional use and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Our pages may contain links to external websites (such as Google Ads Settings or opt-out pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
9. Your Rights
Because we collect minimal personal data, most privacy rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are straightforward:
Calculator and tool inputs: We don't have them — they never left your device.
Uploaded files: We don't have them — they were never transmitted to us.
Theme preference: Clear your browser's localStorage to delete it instantly.
Email correspondence: You may request deletion of any email you sent us by contacting [email protected]. We will confirm deletion within 5 business days.
Ad personalisation: Manage via Google Ads Settings.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. Given the minimal data we hold, these rights are easy to exercise — just email us.
